How does the seat occupancy sensor work?

To determine the presence of a passenger, a membrane sensor is installed under the seat trim, when pressed, the membranes come into contact with each other. The principle of the sensor is similar to the operation of a computer keyboard, only in the case of a sensor in the seat, the width of the buttons does not exceed 2 mm.

To exclude false alarms and control the pressure on most of the seat surface, the sensor has many membranes, when one of them is closed, the GPS tracker connected to this sensor records the trigger.

A passenger presence sensor can be installed in each seat. At the same time, the system will be able to determine which of the seats in the car is occupied.
