Relay RY-3

The RY-3 five-pin sealed automotive relay is designed for switching high-current circuits of passenger cars. Wide contacts (6.3mm) have a protective galvanic coating that reliably protects them from corrosion. Relay housing RY-3 is made of non-flammable plastic. The presence of a metal bracket on the side surface of the case allows it to be fixed near the switched device, which will minimize the length of the connecting wires.

The RY-3 relay circuit includes a control coil and one changeover contact (the designations CO, Form C, SPDT can be found in the documentation). The contacts are marked in accordance with the recommendations of IEC67:

• 85-86 - terminals of the control coil;
  
• 30 - common load output (COM);
• 87а - normally closed (NC);
• 87 - normally open (NO).

The design features of the relay exclude the risk of false operation in case of significant vibrations typical for a running engine. The maximum non-destructive current during switching through the contacts of the RY-3 relay should not exceed 30A in short-term mode and 40A in long-term mode. The relay is intended for use in vehicles with a rated voltage of the on-board network of 12V.
