Speed radar

The SSR-3 digital speed radar is designed to slow the speed of cars and make the streets safer. Speed indicator SSR-3 is connected to the mobile internet. This means that you can manage signs remotely, as well as access traffic statistics and reports right from your desktop. A digital road sign speed radar displays vehicle speed, alerting drivers when they are driving at a speed limit.

Research shows that they are effective in slowing down the speed of offenders, especially in current traffic conditions where drivers are often distracted.

Radar signs are installed on streets with pedestrian crossings, in areas of schools, near parks, and places where drivers often exceed the speed limit.

The use of speed radars aims to reduce speed. Speed radars act on the driver in a feedback loop, based on the feedback loop theory: when people are given information about their actions, they tend to pay attention and correct. Digital speed displays made in the form of a road sign activate this loop, warning drivers when they are overspeeding, encouraging them to drive in accordance with the speed limit.

Installing a speed radar sign

Speed radar signs are usually installed in places where speeding is of concern to residents of nearby houses and where vehicles are in close proximity to pedestrians, such as school zones, construction zones, residential areas, universities, parks. In addition, signs are changed for information to see if additional road speed control measures are needed.

Video and photofixation module

The radar board is equipped with the function of photo and video recording of events when the car exceeds the speed. This function is realized due to a special high-resolution camera (12MP) and a lens with optical zoom.

All data on violations in photo / video + text format are saved in the device memory, on the FTP server and the Telegram channel.

Traffic light control module

This function is carried out due to the built-in radar in the speed display, which will be installed 300 meters before the traffic light. Its function is to measure the speed of an approaching car, and, in case of overspeeding, transmit a signal to turn on the red light to a traffic light.

Those, if the driver violates the speed limit, he will first see a dislike on the display, then the radar will turn on the red traffic light, forcibly stopping the driver.

This method rigidly and instantly ensures compliance with the speed limit. So, the driver knows that if the speed is exceeded, the traffic light will switch to red, and in addition, he will delay not only himself but also the rest of the traffic participants, which is why he will face general indignation, which he will be guilty of.

Also, in order to ensure the safe passage of public transport (ambulance, gas service, fire engine, etc.), this model of the board is able to switch the traffic light to red for other road users. After the vehicle has passed, the traffic light will automatically turn on the green signal.

It should be noted that this function will be effective at intersections with light traffic (villages, suburbs).
